"Heartbreaking...inspiring, uplifting and raw..." ― RT Book Reviews, A 5-star Gold Pick

A broken woman . . .

Crystal learned long ago that love brings only pain. Feeling nothing at all is far better than being hurt again. She guards her wounded heart behind a hard exterior and carries within her a deep mistrust of men, who, in her experience, have only ever used and taken.

A man in need of help . . .

Then Gabriel Dalton walks into her life. Despite the terrible darkness of his past, there's an undeniable goodness in him. And even though she knows the cost, Crystal finds herself drawn to Gabriel. His quiet strength is wearing down her defenses and his gentle patience is causing her to question everything she thought she knew.

Only love can mend a shattered heart . . .

Crystal and Gabriel never imagined that the world, which had stolen everything from them, would bring them a deep love like this. Except fate will only take them so far, and now the choice is theirs: Harden their hearts once again or find the courage to shed their painful pasts.

Crystal wanted to be anyone else other than who she really was. The pain of her past was too real and she had to get on with the hard business of living.

Dancing at the Platinum Pearl was all she could really do.  She could turn it all off and become the girl of their dreams.  That gave her enough courage to keep going.  Until an angel walked through those doors.
He started to turn away but then looked back. “Can I just ask one more question?”

I moved from one leg to the other. “Sure.”

“What were you thinking when you looked at me from the stage? When our eyes met.”

I frowned slightly, about to deny I’d been thinking anything at all but deciding it didn’t matter at that point. I’d never see him again. “I was thinking you didn’t belong here.” And I’d been right.

He paused, his expression enigmatic as his eyes moved over my face. “Huh. Funny,” he finally murmured. “I was thinking the very same thing about you.”

I laughed, a short huff of sound. “Well, you were wrong there. This is the one place I do belong, sugar.”

“Gabriel.” His lips tipped up slightly, his eyes lingering on me for a heartbeat too long, before he turned and walked away.
Everyone knew Gabriel Dalton as the boy who was kidnapped and lived to tell about it.  Those six years could have completely broken him, but it was his memories of love that sustained him.

He was only searching for a girl who could teach him how to be close to someone again but instead he found the one that he wanted to give his heart and soul to – forever.
“You can’t fix me, you know.”

She’d said something similar to me at the Platinum Pearl and I’d questioned my own motives. But looking at her now, I knew that had never been my intent. I wanted her to heal, and I hoped I could be a part of that. But no one could fix anyone else. We could only fix ourselves. “No, you’re right. I can’t fix you.” I can only love you. And I truly want to try.
Most of All You is an exceptional read on so many levels!  It’s devastating and yet hopeful, dehumanizing and yet uplifting and completely soul shaking.

Mia Sheridan once again creates characters that leave an indelible mark upon you.  She shines a bright light on the beauty of the broken that will have you smiling through tears and you’ll remember just how deeply it makes you feel for long after the last page is turned…
