New from Molly Harper, writing as Jacey Conrad, and Gia Corona:
From Russia With Fangs - The companion novel to the best selling From Russia With Claws, this time we hear sister Irina’s story. Between her family’s drunken antics and vicious verbal attacks from her socalled friends, Irina Sudenko Volkov is having the worst night ever. And that’s before she’s widowed. Volatile, cheating, nogood Sergei’s deathbyassassin unleashes chaos in the werewolf criminal underground. Irina's panicked Papa assigns Beta wolf Viktor Zhukovsky to Irina’s security detail until her husband’s killer is found. As Irina's world crumbles around her, the perfect princess mask falls away and Viktor meets the sharp, passionate woman underneath. Their initial chemistry gives way to a deeper attraction when Irina begins to see the decency underneath Viktor’s gruff, tattooed exterior, despite his insistence that it doesn't exist. Their tendency to find themselves seminude and in enclosed spaces is a source of amusement to her sister, Galina, but each of them knows of the deadly consequences if their relationship is brought to light. Things get even more complicated when Papa Sudenko begins to matchmake Irina and Andrey Lupesco, who also happens to be in a secret relationship with Galina. Family dinners are awkward. With danger closing in on all sides, Irina has to find her claws and learn to howl. In the much anticipated sequel to From Russia with Claws, readers get a new perspective of the lusty exploits of the untameable Sudenko family. Gia Corona and Jacey Conrad craft a delightful tale of the anything-but-average human Irina and the libidinous lycanthropes in her life
Irina Sudenko Volkov isn’t as weak as everyone seems to think. She knows all about her husband’s infidelity and that her family’s business has always been more than a little dangerous. She also knows that dancing just one time with her new bodyguard, Viktor make her feel alive in ways she never thought possible again.
Even after an assassin’s bullet ended her sham of a marriage, she’s still not free. Now she has her father, her very unstable siblings and a protector that makes her lady bits tingle to contend with. What’s a girl to do? “It’s all over the news, Rina,” Galina said, digging into her second cinnamon roll.
Viktor Zhukovsky is only just a Beta foot soldier. He could never keep the regal and beautiful Irina for his own no matter how much he wants to – and he SO wants to! The pull between them is far too strong to deny and he’s going to protect her from every harm – even if it costs him everything.
Irina didn’t have to walk away from this with a heart full of hurt. She could enjoy Viktor and everything he had to offer, taking with her fond memories and a pleasant ache in her thighs. After so many years without anything resembling a healthy sexual relationship, she’d earned it. But the thought about walking away from Viktor, of crawling into some other man’s bed and letting someone else’s hands slide across her skin—the very idea made her heart lurch. She didn’t want anyone, man or wolf, touching her if it wasn’t Viktor.
From Russia With Fangs is another epic installment in the From Russia series from Conrad and Corona! They have an exceptional talent for creating their own brand of sidesplitting snark and serve it with just enough imagination to make it extra saucy.
With everything from Spanx to disco caskets, this book has it all. And we regret nothing… Special Guest Post - What's The Perfect Date for Conrad & Corona?
What is your perfect date, if money was no object and logic didn’t apply?
Jacey: If money and logic were no object, my perfect date would be the man - whom I’m picturing as Tom Hardy in This Means War, because this is my fantasy date and I’ll do what I want – he would cook for me, because I find it very sexy when a man prepares me food. And if he knew what was good for him, it would be some sort of sushi. Because California rolls are my favorite thing in the world. If he wanted to feed me the sushi, I would not object. And then, we would go see a play, preferably something Shakespearian and a comedy. And he wouldn’t talk until the play was over, but when it was, we would go to a cozy bar for an in-depth analysis of the performance. And then, other things would happen, because in my fantasy, no one judges me for what I do to fictional Tom Hardy on a first date. Gia: He’d fly me, first class naturally (unless he has a private jet), to London where he would rent the British Museum for me so I could peruse the medieval collections at my leisure. He would also arrange for me to view some of the older manuscripts (I wouldn’t mind seeing the first mention of Arthur again) and texts that relate to the medieval period. Then he’d take me on a walking tour of the Whitechapel district. And perhaps a walk in Highgate Cemetery. And then dinner at a pub or a curry joint. He’d buy me a first edition of a book I love (I already have a first edition Faulkner so he’d have to come up with something better). Oh and high tea somewhere—I’m a slut for high tea. And then he’d leave me alone to read. About The Authors -
Jacey Conrad is a sushiloving, pop culture nerd living in the South with her high school
sweetheart. She delights in horribly made mutant shark movies and watching Sean Bean die in his various cinematic incarnations. Gia Corona loves boots, boys, and bourbon, not necessarily in that order. When she’s not actively stalking Michael Fassbender and his abdominals, she’s watching questionable television or reading comics. Visit With Conrad & Corona -
