With flowers and infidelity sharing equal time around the clock, running one of Savannah’s most popular florist shops is hard work for best friends Parker Chase and Vivian Carmichael. Daisies by day, private investigation by night. When a prominent socialite seeks them out for help, they gear up for what should be a cut-and-dry case. Just another job, until old shadows and unexpected complications start tangling it up. New seeds are planted, old stems are cut…and even the prettiest of flowers have thorns. Parker Chase and Vivian Carmichael have been best friends forever. Now all grown up, they reside in Savannah and run a flower shop called Pistils with Parker’s Grandmother. Parker is a vibrant and spontaneous soul who proudly still wears her Rainbow Brite pajamas to bed. She also has terrible luck with men. But that doesn’t mean that she’s given up on love altogether. Vivian is the serious one. She doesn’t like to talk about the past because it could be dangerous. Life in the CIA taught her to keep secrets. It also taught her to be one heck of a private investigator. They are florists by day and exclusive PI’s by night. Little did they know that their newest assignment is about to change everything. “If you’re wondering why my smile is so wide and the fire in my eyes so bright, it’s probably because revenge is just that sweet.” Pistils is such an incredible read! The characters are so real and so multidimensional that I found myself wanting to meet them for drinks and just talk for hours! The story itself flows flawlessly with complex twists and turns that are made all the better by unexpected bursts of humor. "P wasn’t joking when she said I could probably bring about the zombie flower apocalypse just by scowling at one… she’d bought me a cactus for my fourteenth birthday, and the poor thing died within a week. That was some sad shit right there." Kate McNeil and Britt Goodwin have hit a major homerun with this debut and we can’t wait to see where this exceptional series will take us next… Rating:Get the Book!
