Cassidy Swallow had a dream of owning her own little piece of the Colorado mountains every since she was a little girl.  She accepts a generous loan from her father and sets out to make her dream a reality. 

Her first return customer is a man known only as John Priest.  He pays in cash and always stays in cabin eleven. He also is the most intense and enigmatic man that she has ever encountered.  Year after year, he returns and each time her attraction to him grows.  Is he really as cold as he appears or does his desire run as hot as her own?

Deacon lives in the shadows so can’t tell the beautiful owner of Glacier Lily Cottages his real name.  She is his one weakness and when his steely control finally breaks, he discovers that Cassidy is a sensual woman who challenges him at every turn.  She stirs feelings inside him that he thought were long since dead.  But Deacon carries secrets that won’t let him go. Can he get her to trust him long enough to know that she is the one who truly knows who he is – body and soul?

“I was a cold motherfucker, off the grid, no life, no home, no ties, no emotions, everyone knew it. Until I came back to some rundown cabins I’d been to before that were off the beaten path. The Unfinished Heroes may very well be my favourite series from Kristen!  It’s here where she creates her grittiest, sexiest and most memorable stories – and Deacon is no exception. 

The characters are unparalleled and Cassidy is one of her strongest heroines yet.  She’s a smart independent woman who isn’t afraid to embrace life with her whole heart.  Deacon is the other side of the coin – darkly brooding and wickedly intense.   The heat between them is so fierce that it can’t be measured using existing technology!  Put all of this together with Kristen’s signature style and you have one fabulously intoxicating read…
