{Release Day Review} Michael's Wings (The Original Sinners #6.3) by Tiffany Reisz (@8thCirclePress)11/7/2017
Griffin has just popped the question—yes, that question—and Michael doesn’t have an answer. He flees town for New Orleans to see his confidante and sometime-Domme, Mistress Nora. Will a weekend of beignets and beatings help him untangle his knotted-up heart?
Thus begins Michael's Wings, the eponymous novella that kicks off the latest entry in Tiffany Reisz's LAMBDA Literary Award-winning* Original Sinners series. This companion collection to fan-favorite The Angel also contains six previously-published stories starring Mistress Nora's favorite angel and Griffin—his master, his true love, and the sexy-as-hell bane of Michael's existence.
Michael Dimir was drowning in sorrow before he was literally saved from himself by Søren. He discovered that there were more people in the world who were just like him and even though he discovered a strange new peace in their acceptance, it also made him long for something much more.
He finally found everything he ever wanted in Griffin Randolfe Fiske. Griffin both terrified and mesmerized him all at the same time. Under Griffin’s gentle domination, he was able to let go of all of his fears. But what does a skinny teenager have to offer someone as beautiful and successful as Griffin? Will their love be able to survive both doubt and time or will it steal the wind from underneath his wings? When he was younger, he thought kink was all dark and scary and dangerous and he’d been drawn to that darkness and drawn to that danger. But with Griffin it wasn’t like that. Instead of being scared, he felt safe with Griffin. Instead of being dark, it felt like this, like being in a room full of burning candles. It wasn’t dark like evil is dark. It was dark like night is dark and night was beautiful, his favorite time of day. He’d always preferred moths and moonlight to sunshine and butterflies anyway.
It’s not a secret that Michael and Griffin are my favourite couple from The Original Sinners series! There’s just something so fragile and yet hopeful about their relationship that it always makes my heart swoon in the very best of ways.
In Michael’s Wings, Tiffany presents us with the perfect literary pool in which to revel in all things Griff and Mick - both heartfelt and poignant. And her words, like floggers, never fail to leave fans euphoric and aching for more… Get This Book!
