{Release Event & Giveaways} Sweet Dreams (Colorado Mountain #2) by Kristen Ashley (@KristenAshley68)6/24/2014 SWEET DREAMS by Kristen Ashley (June 24, 2014; Forever Mass Market) She's ready for the ride of her life . . . Lauren Grahame is looking to reinvent herself. After leaving her cheating husband, Lauren moves to Carnal, Colorado, and gets a job as a waitress in a biker bar called Bubba's. It's a nothing job in a nowhere joint . . . until Tatum Jackson walks in. Lauren has never seen a man with such good looks, muscles, and attitude. But when he insults her, Lauren doesn't want anything to do with him. Too bad for Lauren he's also the bar's part owner and bartender. When the rough-around-the-edges Tate meets the high-class Lauren, he thinks she won't fit in at Bubba's. Yet there's more to Lauren than meets the eye, and Tate soon sets his mind on claiming her as his own. Before long, the desire burning between them is heating up the cold mountain air. But when violence strikes the town, Tate must reveal a dark secret to Lauren-one that may put an end to their sweet dreams. Add To Goodreads Lauren is starting over - starting all over at the age of 42. After leaving her successful career behind along with her unsuccessful marriage, she finds herself in the small town of Carnal, Colorado. She settles into a job waitressing at the local watering hole, Bubba’s. As luck would have it, the worst part of her job is having to deal with Tatum Jackson. He’s rude, offensive and unbelievably beautiful. If she can just ignore him long enough to get through her shifts, maybe she can hide how much his indifference hurts. “Now can I wipe down the table?” He was silent for several long moments before he said, “Yeah, Ace, you can wipe the table and we can find a way to work together but I’ll tell you straight, I ain’t puttin ’ the effort in to avoid you just because you’re holdin’ tight to somethin’ that didn’t mean shit. You can try to avoid me but it ain’t a big bar, it ain’t a big town. You got attitude and you’re stubborn as all hell but you ain’t gonna be able to avoid me. Our paths will cross.” I looked to the ceiling. “Great, more reasons to lose sleep.” “Babe,” he called and I rolled my eyes back to him. “Stop calling me babe,” I demanded. Tate ignored me. “You want sweet dreams, lose the attitude and you might find I’ll give you reason to have them.” Lauren is losing the fight against her growing feelings for Tate, but in a small town history doesn’t always stay in the past. They are going to have to endure lies, jealousy, murder and a whole lot of bread from La-La Land to turn their nightmares into dreams worth living for. I remember reading this book for the first time. I couldn’t believe how absolutely amazing it was! Nobody can make you feel just like the characters quite like Kristen Ashley. I experienced every heartbreak, every fear and every joy right along with Lauren. She is definitely one of my all time favourite Kristen heroines. And Kristen’s heroes? There is nothing in the world like them and Tate Jackson will always take the number one spot in my romance Hall of Fame… Rating:Exclusive Excerpt -Tate kept my hand in his as we walked to room three, which was way closer to Ned and Betty’s. I had to walk double-time to keep up with his long strides. He didn’t release my hand when he made it to the door. He just unlocked it, opened it, and pushed me inside. About The Author -![]() Kristen Ashley grew up in Brownsburg, Indiana, and has lived in Denver, Colorado, and the West Country of England. Thus she has been blessed to have friends and family around the globe. Her posse is loopy (to say the least) but loopy is good when you want to write. Kristen was raised in a house with a large and multigenerational family. They lived on a very small farm in a small town in the heartland, and Kristen grew up listening to the strains of Glenn Miller, The Everly Brothers, REO Speedwagon, and Whitesnake. Needless to say, growing up in a house full of music and love was a good way to grow up. And as she keeps growing up, it keeps getting better. Visit With Kristen - |
