Nick Sebring has issues. Born feeling like an outsider in his own family, growing up under the shadow of a brother who could do anything, Nick isn’t that great of a guy. But when this culminates with Nick lashing out to hurt his brother through the woman he loves, Nick turns inward and makes some decisions about the man he intends to be.
And as he does this, he falls in love and truly learns the man that he’s grown to be.
When his love is murdered right before Nick’s eyes, Nick knows he has to avenge her. He knows how he’s going to avenge her. And he has no qualms using Olivia Shade to exact that vengeance.
Olivia Shade has grown up on the outside of her family too. Her problem is that they don’t want her outside. They want her all the way in, right under their thumbs. She pays the price for seeking escape and learns her lesson—she’ll never see a dawn where she wakes up free.
Then she meets Nick Sebring, and even as she fights it, the hope that died years ago starts to blossom. She can find love. She can have a man of her own. She can be happy. She can be free.
Olivia hopes while Nick schemes.
However, as Nick peels back the layers of all that is Olivia Shade, he finds something surprising. He understands its fragility. He falls in love with its beauty. He seeks to protect it.
But he forgets to protect his Livvie from one thing: Nick Sebring.
Olivia Shade used to believe in love. That part of her died a long time ago and now she lives with scars on both her body and her soul.
Being a part of a crime family means that her every move is watched – watched by her father and her notoriously power-hungry sister. So she retreats into a world where acts of dominance and submission are viewed through one-way glass. Here she can be alone and dream of living free – and it’s here where she comes face to face with Nick Sebring.
“The instant I caught sight of him, I froze.
Nick Sebring isn’t the man he once was. When tragedy reduced him to nothing, his brother helped put him back together – better, smarter and hungry for revenge.
His plan is to take down the House of Shade and Olivia is his way in. But when he peels back her layers, he finds that she’s no longer just a cold princess. She’s the one woman who can bring him back from the edge of despair and he’s going to move Heaven and Earth to give her back her light.
“It isn’t for me,” she stated.
Kristen Ashley has just performed a miracle. She actually made me LOVE Nick Sebring!! I remember Nick as the drug-addicted jealous brother in the first book of the series and it was hard to see how he could turn around and become a hero with the same vengeance as Knight and the others.
But he really did. And it was hotter, more emotionally intense and more dangerous than ever before.
With Sebring, Kristen really pushes all of the boundaries and once again shows the baddest of the bad can find real redemption in love – and Nick was the perfect character to bring the legendary Unfinished Heroes series to a spectacular end…

In the hotel room, Nick heard the knock at the door.
About The Author -
Kristen Ashley was born in Gary, Indiana, USA. She nearly killed her mother and herself making it into the world, seeing as she had the umbilical cord wrapped around her neck (already attempting to accessorise and she hadn't taken her first breath!).
Kristen grew up in Brownsburg, Indiana but has lived in Denver, Colorado and the West Country of England. Thus she has been blessed to have friends and family around the globe. Her posse is loopy (to say the least) but loopy is good when you want to write.
Kristen was raised in a house with a large and multi-generational family. They lived on a very small farm in a small town in the heartland and existed amongst the strains of Glenn Miller, The Everly Brothers, REO Speedwagon and Whitesnake (and the wardrobes that matched).
Needless to say, growing up in a house full of music, clothes and love was a good way to grow up.
And as she keeps growing up, it keeps getting better.
